This campaign is the result of many many hours of painstaking designing and playtesting by myself with help on the playtesting side from David Carroll and Peter Christian.

More detailed plot is contained within the missions but essentially the campaign follows the batte for a single system of the Terran Empire (which took over from the UED shortly after the departure of the doomed fleet) between the three protagonists of Starcraft. It consists of three sub-campaigns for the Zerg (which takes place at the same time as the events of episodes II and III of the ordinary Starcraft campaign), the Terran (which takes place at the same time as the events of episodes IV and V) and the Protoss (concurrent with episode VI, and later). However, these correspondences are loose at best.

The Zerg campaign was written mostly before I updated my version of Starcraft, so it uses mostly only the old triggers, and is thus more unwieldy. It is also less well written because of being written first, and playtested less. Any bugs that there are are likely to be in that campaign.

Losing a mission in these campaigns will not necessarily be the end of your chances - sometimes you will be given another chance to fight back and claw your way back toward victory. Whether you play these other mission or just reload until you win the main one is up to you.

Excepting those missions which are obviously supposed to be unwinnable, and are just there to be cutscenes, there is one mission which I am fairly sure is impossible (and you will be told so in the briefing), but it's great fun, so I left it in. All the other missions are almost certainly possible, only one has not been completed.

Some of the victory triggers are a bit unreliable, so if you think you've won but have had no notice of the fact, then just load the next map (you can work out which is the next map by just reading the descriptions or by opening it in the editor). If the briefing makes no sense, then you've probably got the wrong one.

A sequel to this campaign is being written which uses the Broodwar units, but it won't be finished for a long while yet, because I have no Broodwar CD anymore.

Firstly, you must have upgraded Starcraft to the most recent version, but you need not have the Broodwar add on (although it will still work if you do, of course).

Then, just unzip all the files into whatever directory you wish (I recommend that you give the campaign a directory to itself).

Lastly, begin by playing the '!Start here.scm' scenario.
